Did you know that:

More children will be diagnosed with Autism this year than AIDS, diabetes, and cancer combined
1 in 68 children born today will be diagnosed with Autism; 1 in 42 boys
Autism is the fastest-growing neurological disorder and costs the nation over $125 billion per year
Even though Autism is growing so rapidly, it receives less than 5% of the research funding of many less prevalent childhood diseases
Right now, there is no medical detection or cure for Autism

Autism Speaks is the leading autism non-profit and is dedicated to advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorders and related conditions; increasing understanding and acceptance of autism spectrum disorders; and working toward solutions for the needs of individuals with autism and their families across the spectrum and lifespan through advocacy and support.

Autism Speaks Walk is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds in the autism community. This grassroots movement is powered by people on the autism spectrum, their families and friends, service providers, schools, businesses and local volunteers. Walkers advocate and take action for the diverse needs of the autism community. Their efforts help generate funds that fuel innovative research and make connections to critical lifelong supports and services.

My goal is is to help the Autism Speaks Greater Morris Area Walk raise more than $121,000, and I need your help.
